LDAP, PHP and CPanel

Finally got LDAP working with a PHP front end. 1) Install all the OpenLDAP packages in WHM->Software->Install a RPM (openldap, clients, devel, servers)2) Put a custom build configure flag in the all_php5 file as shown here (NB for me the command was -with

    Who can manage LDAP, only root or hosting clients, too? What is stored in LDAP, email users?

    I have a need to get LDAP working in a LINUX, Red Hat enviornment.
    We need authentication and have it working with a virtual server setup with appache and Php. This virtual server talks to the LDAP server and provides authentication.
    Where this doesn´t work, is when we put the site on a server with CPanel running
