It may not be surprising that you can insert objects into photographs, it certainly is how astonishingly well you can do it these days. You have to watch the video to get the full effect.

APOD: 2011 October 15 – NGC 4565: Galaxy on Edge. Beautiful. Pretty much as our galaxy would look like to someone at the relevant angle and distance. Our solar system is out on the far edges away from the central black hole.
