Big pictures

Loads of great stuff, as always, in the Big Picture while I was away. Olympics: I liked the fencing shots because it is not a sport you often see. The length of the lunge they need to make and the extent of the aggression is amazing. You wouldn´t want to meet...

Job option for me

Now that Mr Voice Over is out of the running, maybe I should work on my resonant deep bass voice, having honed my second tenor one singing barber shop in Malaysia.

Bacchus no more

I think we were lucky to go to Bacchus the one time with the Schoslands – the new menu looks like a large step backwards. We really enjoyed the attempt at molecular gastronomy, even if it didn´t get to Bulli standards.

Steak in the City

If they are open on Saturdays, Missouri Angel might make a nice steak venue. Need to check on the cocktail situation, though. Murano (the new Ramsey / Hartnett opening) looks good too.
