96% of government services will be available online by 2005. Interesting factoid: there are 657 services identified across the whole of central government: this is equivalent to the services provided by one (large) local authority.

The government is thinking about an eBay-style marketplace for goods and services. It’s an interesting idea – as they suggest, why not let the private sector build it and run it under licence and then it doesn’t really matter if it works or not....
