Having donated my lovely Samsung NC10 to mother-in-law for Skype action, I needed a new, small, portable PC for work. The MacBook Air 11.6inch is, in January 2011, unbeatable. So I have one. And it is great: it’s taken some serious usage while getting it ready for work, and is now Dropboxed, LastPassed and SplashIDed up, so I’m pretty well ready to go with it as a full-on work machine. And it is seriously quick. I can imagine not needing the proper Windows laptop so much.
Great thing about Apple PCs as opposed to everything else they do: you can do what you like with them as they are basically Unix with a lovely skin. So Quicksliver and other productivity tools are yours for the using. You can’t easily do this on an iPod or iPhone.
