Very sad to hear the news that Doug Wilson died of leukaemia aged 46. He recruited me into Datamonitor and was a large part of the reason I joined. He was a good boss for me straight out of university and a good person. Read the tribute page from the company he founded and his obituary.
I find it particularly odd because I always found him super grown up when I worked for him. He’s one of the many internalised voices I still rely on (a sort of “what would Doug do”).
I’m so sorry. He must have been wonderful to know.
Thanks. It’s a long time since I saw him properly, but he was definitely a formative influence.
