Flightstats looks useful – tracks flight information wherever you are. They have a mobile version that does the business.Looks like there is a mobile train timetable still as well as a WAP version of TfL.

I think the idea of GPS units talking to each other to understand traffic conditions is an excellent one. So long as the contributors are anonymised, it can’t but help improve travel conditions.
