Worth thinking about backing up some online accounts (e.g. Facebook photos where other people mention you) as well as your own machine.The current round of good USB app suites (PortableApps for me).Windows 7 boosters.Evernote looks like a great solution for my work...

If only I’d known about this when I was upgrading to Windows 7. Choose the apps you want and let it get on with installing them. Far better than search-download-install. Brilliant idea; I’ll be using it next time I have to wipe a PC.

We have rubbish mobile phone reception in the flat and the house. This does sometimes cause me problems when working from home (especially with no land line in the flat). So maybe a repeater kit would make sense. But £200 seems steep for this: although it would help...

I still don’t like the second piece of kit issue, but people are starting to find real uses for the MiFi.
