The smell of old age

I love the way that certain smells can instantly transport you into a multi-sense recollection of somewhere you’ve been (I usually get smell, sight and sound: a real rush). However, having bought some Flexitol Heel Balm to avoid cracked heels (my father used to have horrific fissures), I realised (in a 3D instant recall manner as described above) that Heel Balm smells of old people. Well, old people’s homes / houses. Not a recollection I like to get twice a day, and it seems I’m not the only one!
